Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
beTenis is built to need as little of your data as possible. We collect what's required to run your account, send your alerts, understand whether core features work, and fix failures. We don't sell your data, show third-party ads inside the app, or track you across apps or websites.
Who we are
beTenis ("we", "us") provides a tennis analytics and alerts application for Android. You can reach us at support@betenis.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and a display name. Passwords are stored only as a salted cryptographic hash; we never store or see your actual password.
- Google Sign-In (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address, basic profile name, and a Google account identifier. We do not access anything else in your Google account.
- Your watchlist — the players you choose to follow and your per-player alert preferences (such as including doubles or muting a player).
- Delivery channels — a push-notification token from your device, and, if you connect it, your Telegram chat identifier. These exist only to deliver your alerts.
- Pseudonymous usage analytics — fixed events such as viewing a screen, using research, changing a watchlist or alert setting, viewing the paywall, or whether a purchase succeeds. Our server uses a random session identifier that resets every app launch. Firebase Analytics uses a pseudonymous app-instance identifier and may process basic app and device information such as app version, operating-system version, device model, language and engagement time. We do not send your account details, player names, searches, or match identifiers. You can turn analytics off in the Account tab.
- Optional advertising measurement — if you choose “Allow measurement,” Google may process device and campaign identifiers to help us understand whether an app-promotion ad led to an install or sign-up. We keep ad personalization disabled. You can change this choice at any time in Account → Privacy.
- Diagnostics — Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash, non-fatal error and Android “app not responding” reports, including a stack trace, app version, operating-system version and device model. We do not attach your beTenis account, email or a user identifier to these reports.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Advertising identifiers are used only for measurement when you explicitly allow it.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To show you the match board, Signals and odds, and to build your watchlist.
- To send the alerts you asked for — by push notification and, if connected, Telegram.
- To send essential account emails (verification codes and password resets).
- To measure whether onboarding, subscriptions and core features work, and to diagnose crashes or unresponsive sessions.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run these features, and only for that purpose:
- Expo — to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Telegram — only if you connect it, to deliver alerts to your chat.
- Resend — to send account emails (verification and password reset).
- Google — to process pseudonymous product analytics through Firebase Analytics, measure selected events for our app-promotion campaigns through a linked Google Ads account, process Android crash and app-not-responding diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics, and, only if you choose Google Sign-In, verify your identity. Advertising identifiers are enabled only if you allow advertising measurement; ad personalization remains disabled.
We never sell your personal data or use analytics for personalized advertising.
Where it's stored
Your account data and server-side usage events are stored on our secured server infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Server-side analytics events are retained for up to 90 days. Firebase Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Firebase/Google Analytics project and may remain in aggregated reports. Crash diagnostics are processed by Firebase Crashlytics. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active.
Your rights & deleting your account
You can turn usage analytics and advertising measurement off at any time in the Account tab. You can permanently delete your account and all associated account data there by tapping Delete account. Full details are on our account deletion page. You can also request access to or correction of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@betenis.com from your account address. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR.
Children
beTenis is intended only for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use beTenis after an update means you accept the revised policy.
